Last week, four of the top five teams went down. After a resounding win over previous No. 4 Seneca Valley, Tuscarora jumps from the No. 10 spot to No. 6. Lake Clifton is one of the few 9-0 teams in Maryland, moving to the No. 2 slot. Despite a loss to the reigning VHSL Class 5A state champions, Potomac (Va.), Stephen Decatur rises from No. 6 to No. 4.

Bowie climbs from No. 11 to No. 7. Largo and Lackey fall out of the top 25 while unbeaten Kennedy and Oakdale, coming off two wins by a combined 60 points, enter the mix.

Wise holds the top spot for the fifth week in a row, garnering nine of 11 first-place votes.
